Drama Therapy

Drama therapy utilizes therapeutic, experiential and embodied methods to explore the hopes, problems or issues raised by an individual or group. Through the use of role-play, enactment and other tools, drama therapy allows for the safe expression of emotion, whilst inviting perspective and insight to emerge. In the dramatic realm, participants are also able to experiment with new roles, behaviors and specific actions that might be taken in the world. By engaging our affective, cognitive, relational and spiritual capacities, drama therapy stimulates innovative responses to internal conflicts and real life dilemmas.

Drama therapy can involve storytelling, role-play, improvisation, enactment, theatre games, mask work and puppetry.
